On 3rd March, PaCT held its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its offices in Mityana. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including development partners and sponsors, supported individuals, among them beneficiaries who graduated this year as well as local government representatives. Chief Administrative Officers from districts such as Kagadi, Kakumiro, Mubende, Kibale, and Kassanda, where PaCT implements its programmes, were in attendance.
The AGM was officiated by Dr. Ongol Joseph Opio, Commissioner for Water and Environment at the Ministry of Water and Environment, who highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing sustainable water and community development initiatives.
This year’s AGM also marked the first official event to be held in the organisation’s newly completed multipurpose community facility, Raglan Hall. The hall is named in recognition of the contribution of Raglan House at Wellington College, UK towards its construction.
The meeting provided a platform for the organisation to present its performance over the past year, share key achievements, and outline priorities for the upcoming period.
“I would like to commend PaCT for its strong culture of accountability to the public. It is not common to find organisations that consistently demonstrate such transparency, openly sharing how funds received from development partners are utilised. This level of accountability helps to build trust and explains why PaCT has remained active and responsive to community needs for over three decades. As Government, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting organisations like PaCT that continue to deliver visible and meaningful impact.”
Vincent Kyaligonza, Chief Administrative Officer
