Since 2017, Blood:Water Mission Has Empowered Over 643,000 Lives in Uganda

Since 2017, Blood:Water Mission (BWM) has played a vital role in transforming communities across Uganda through their comprehensive and impactful initiatives. Their dedicated efforts have positively touched the lives of over 643,000 individuals through a range of life-changing interventions.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, BWM’s swift response provided essential services to more than 577,000 people. Their focused WASH programs have significantly improved access to clean water and sanitation, including the construction of 37 wells and 12 school-based rainwater harvesting tanks. Investments in menstrual hygiene management, water filters, and handwashing facilities have greatly enhanced health and dignity, especially among learners.

Beyond WASH, BWM has strengthened PaCT’s institutional capacity by digitizing operations, building staff and board skills, and developing infrastructure to support growth. Their ongoing commitment to sustainable development and capacity building continues to empower communities and inspire lasting, positive change.
